The Studio
Although currently an undergrad, I want the opportunity to grow as a future educator. To do so, I am offering a 10 week workshop, free of any fees or charge. Any interested wind musician in grades 6-12 may register. Parents may accompany and sit in on lessons. I want to improve and be as helpful as I can. I will teach what I know, and allow feedback and critiques.
Each lesson is an hour long (60 minutes) for flute players, but other wind players may opt for a half hour (30 minute) lesson. We will cover as much as we can at a comfortable pace. I will not rush anyone. My goal is to help improve each student individually, while fully understanding the concepts introduced.
I encourage parental involvement. I am just as willing to teach the parent as well as the student so that everyone has the chance and opportunity to learn something new.
Summer lessons begin the week of June 7 and end the week of August 9, which is a full 10 weeks. Lesson days are being planned to be Monday through Friday, 10am to 3pm, although it has yet to be finalized.
Please Note: Flute players get first dibs on lesson times. Any open slots will go to the other wind players on a first come, first serve basis. So the sooner the registration comes in the better.
